LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Sunday announced to form an electoral alliance with other political parties in Sindh against the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Talking to media after visiting different camps set up as part of party’s membership campaign here, the PTI chief said his party will be in the field during the upcoming general elections with a number of political heavyweights on its side.He expressed the confidence that next elections will be held in a free, fair and transparent manner, adding that judiciary’s role was crucial in this regard.
Slamming the ruling Sharif family, Imran said he will hold Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif accountable for massive corruption in the metrobus projects.”Sharifs are not rulers … they are a mafia. I will expose reality behind Nawaz Sharif’s question ‘Mujhey kiyun nikala’ at Minar-e-Pakistan on April 29,” he added.
The PTI chief said the revived Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) will not make any difference in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa politics during the upcoming general elections.”PTI will win seats double to what it had in the previous elections in KP,” he claimed. Imran said that in the ‘new Pakistan’, all people, especially minorities, would be treated equally as per the sayings of Quaid-e-Azam.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan was accompanied by Shafqat Mehmood, Abdul Aleem Khan, Mehmoodur Rasheed and other parliamentarians during his visit to membership camps set up in several areas of city, including Gaddafi Stadium, Youhanabad, Moon Market, Akbar Chowk, Sadar Bazar and Thokar Niaz Baig.
