Earlier today, former seminary student threw a shoe at former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif during an event at Jamia Naeemia in Garhi Shahu area of Lahore.
According to details, Nawaz Sharif was invited to speak at an event at the seminary but as he reached the rostrum to address the audience, a person in the audience threw a shoe at him, hitting his chest, and started shouting slogans in favour of Tehreeke-e-Labbayk Ya Rasool Allah.
Continuing her address, Maryam said that the ‘enemies’ of Nawaz Sharif were scared of the former premier’s growing popularity and had resorted to ‘disgraceful ways’. She added that such an act did not bother Nawaz and that it only heightened the former PM’s popularity and respect among the masses.
She also slammed party ‘enemies’ calling them ‘cowards’, while she also challenged them to cease ‘hidden attacks’ and compete with PML-N in the political battleground.
